Styx Stick

To anyone who was at the Styx/Foreigner/Felder concert at the Bowl last Saturday night: Some very dear friends attended and the following happened:

"OK...we made it clear that the concert in SB was amazing.... but you didn't hear the BEST part. Styx had just finished their encore. The guitarists were throwing picks and the drummer was tossing sticks. Keep in mind that we are in the handicap section 40-50 feet from the stage. Now just maybe because I play drums, but when the drummer had 1 stick left he looked up at me, I patted my chest pointed to him an said "bring it!". He brought it way back and let it fly...20 feet up in the air. The stage lights were in my eyes..suddenly time slowed as it started its descent for me. I remembered 2 years ago I had a Stone Temple Pilots drum head pulled out of my hands...that WASN'T going to happen again! As it came closer I went up as high as I could and snagged the stick with one hand..came down with it to a huge ovation. Turned to the crowd holding the stick to the Heavens and gave thanks to the Rock Gods as the crowd roared!! The usher came up to me right after and congratulated me..I said "unfortunately my family is in the restroom" she replied " there are over 4k people behind you and they all have cameras or cell phones shooting all the time. Someone has to have it..."

I really hope that someone does have it. It would be great to see these folks get a copy of that stellar event. Anybody capture it who's willing to share? It would mean a lot. Thanks!
