Boat Storage
updated: Jul 28, 2014, 8:20 AM

I'm looking for a place in SB or Goleta to store my new boat. Trailered it measures 8.5'x34'. Does anyone know of anyone renting out space? I've tried the few local storage yards and all of them are full or don't have room for anything over 30'.

There's an RV Storage lot on Kellogg that takes boats as well. If they have space, that's your best bet.

There is a lot out just beyond Elwood Elementary school (~7760 Hollister) with boats and RVs and lots of empty space. Don't know the name.

Free storage... in the anchorage. Added benefit is that it is ready to sail, anytime. Downsides include bird feces, anxiety during wind events, and a certain stigma. But if you intend to use it with some frequency, it doesn't get more convenient! And if you don't plan to use it much... well you do, or you wouldn't have it!

Maybe try to find someone willing to trade storage on their property for use of your boat.

I've tried the storage places on kellog, the boat is 4 feet too big. The place on Elwood is closing. Fools anchorage is called fools anchorage for a reason.

Seems to be a deep lot homeowner on the north side of Wake Center's exit drive who stores boats and RV's. There is access to the storage area from Turnpike (locked gate), but the owner's address is on Los Verdes Drive, I think.
Might be worth a try to figure it out.

Good luck with that. We have a new 26' boat and opted to pay the price and 'bought' a slip in the marina. Not a lot of good options here.

There is boat and vehicle storage available across from the U-haul on Hollister. Contact James at 636-1475.

Used to be a place on Hollister near the Dutch Gardens restaurant and I have seen others around, mostly in the Goleta Valley.

Mammoth moving does boat storage. Also call the tow company's. They won't have any but they know people and private property's that do boat storage.

There's a lot on the corner of S Calle Cesar Chavez and Quinientos, across from West Marine, with boats and other big vehicles stored there. It's locked up and fenced, but there's no contact information for it. Does anyone know how to get a hold of the owner? I need to store my boat as well. Thanks
