County Firefighters Heading to Amador County

According to Engineer Russ Sechler of Santa Barbara County Fire via the Newsline:

Santa Barbara County Fire Department is sending a strike team of five engines with 18 personnel, including a battalion chief and an assistant, to battle the Sand Fire in Plymouth, California (Amador County). According to Sechler, 1,464 firefighters are battling the fire that has spread across 3,000 acres, destroying five residences, and is 20% contained. There has been one minor injury which is under investigation.
