DOG OF THE WEEK

There was a crooked dog who walked a crooked mile,
no worse for the wear, no matter how out of style.
The crooked dog had a big dream;
he wished so badly that someone would love him sight unseen.
Someday soon, the crooked dog will have his dream come true,
and I wonder if that loving person might just be you?

Ernie is a six year old golden retriever/lab mix whose character traits will keep you in stitches. To quote his foster Mom, "Ernie is a hoot!" If you have seen the movie "Up," then you have essentially met Ernie.

Ernie is a playful, happy pooch, who loves being with people. In fact, Ernie loves everyone he meets! Ernie gets along well with other dogs, and his favorite pastime is to kick back and watch birds and squirrels do their thing. Because Ernie was rescued from the shelter, we are not allowed to place him in a home with children under the age of seven. He also isn't particularly fond of cats. Unless, it is chasing them.

Before coming into Forever Friends rescue, Ernie had an accident which caused one of his front legs to be crooked, and he's had some arthritis set in. He doesn't require any medication, and he can still walk a crooked mile. If you're interested in opening your home and heart to a precious Ernie, please email us at info@ffgrrescue.org so we may contact you to see if he might be a good fit.
