July 16, 2014 - Ghosts in the Fog

The fog rolled in and stayed put for most of Tuesday. An edhat subscriber snapped this photo of two ghostly deers foraging for food. Maybe it's one deer and one buck, its hard to tell in the photo, but the fog does that ya know? According to this official government website there are approximately 468 species of fish and wildlife in the Los Padres National Forest, making it one of the more diverse forests in California. Well, that's pretty exciting. We aren't biologists here at edhat but the foggy deer in our photo of the day could very well be the common California mule deer. We hope you enjoyed that little knowledge bomb.

In local news, Roger was the first to report a dead body on a bus bench near La Cumbre, Santa Barbara Sheriffs engaged in a high-speed pursuit of a suspect on Highway 101, and edhatters discuss ant problems. Read these stories and more, below.
