Did anyone see Ringo Starr at the Bowl on Saturday night? Was that Joe Walsh on stage at the end?

Nope, definitely not Joe Walsh. Spoke briefly to him and his 2 lady friends down in parking lot while they were waiting for another lady who appeared to be a "handler/manager" to lead them to their Jag. Looked suspiciously like Bruce Johnston of Beach Boys but I didn't ask. He was a coupla sheets to the wind and looked a bit puffy and out of shape compared to last time I saw Bruce at the Bowl. Still, coulda been.

A friend of a friend went and said Ringo Starr was great. The friend who went was 12 years old.

If you are talking about the guy at the end, with the red shoes sharing the mike with Todd Rundgen...It was Joe Walsh.
Anyone take any pictures that was close up? Could you post them please.

Thanks for sending pictures.. It is not joe Walsh. It was a great concert. It's hard to believe that Ringo Starr is 74, he was all over the stage. I read where he is a vegetarian . Maybe being a vegan has something to do with his vitality ?

239P. Vegan and vegetarian aren't the same thing. Vegetarians eat cheese, milk, eggs, butter. Vegans eschew all animal products.

Fact: Marshmallows have gelatin (animal product) in them, unless you buy the non-gelatin ones. (Non-gelatin marshmallows taste wonderful!) This means Rocky Road ice cream, marshmallow creme, etc all contain animal products.

Fact: Some yogurts contain gelatin.

Fact: Some restaurants will tell you their offerings don't contain animal products but will then serve you dishes that contain chicken and/or beef broth.

What a great show, and a fun night on a beautiful SB evening. So glad I got to see it.

It was outstanding. A variety of songs since the musicians had been members or session men for some memorable bands. They seemed to enjoy playing together.

The concert was wonderful. The musicians were so good, and seemed to be really enjoying performing. It was nice to have a mix of different songs from different bands. And the collective history on that stage was amazing - I was wishing I had a biography from each one. Ringo is Ringo - he lead the band nicely; didn't dwell on being a former Beatle, and, in fact, didn't even mention them, just said tongue in cheek that the next song was from "that other band I was in".

Other than being crammed into our seats in the highest section (really, can't they allow more leg room - my knees were in the back of the guy in front of me, had knees in my back from the guy behind me.), we really enjoyed the show.

The guy at the end, whomever he was, I think had imbibed a bit too much in something. But, lucky him to be a participant.
