Upcoming Meeting to Discuss Goleta Housing
updated: Jul 12, 2014, 12:45 PM

By an edhat subscriber

Since Edhatters have discussed all the growth in Goleta recently, I thought this might be of interest. Tuesday, July 15th, the City Council will be voting on another very large housing project called the Villages at Los Carneros. This project would be at the southwest corner of Los Carneros and the 101. It consists of 465 residential units.

Just across Los Carneros is the existing Willow Springs and the currently under construction, Willow Springs 2.

As of today, Goleta has 490 future residential units approved; not counting the additional 300 units UCSB is building around the old Ocean Meadows Golf Course.

All too often, we don't know anything about a new project until the construction begins, so this is a chance to have your say, for or against, this project.

You can attend the meeting and speak, or just observe, this Tuesday, July 15th, 6 PM, at Goleta City Hall, 130 Cremona Drive, Suite B.

Additionally; you can email your thoughts to the council members. Here are their addresses:

raceves@cityofgoleta.org
mbennett@cityofgoleta.org
jfarr@cityofgoleta.org
pperotte@cityofgoleta.org
tvallejo@cityofgoleta.org

Let your voice be heard.
