Scanner Reports 7-11-14
updated: Jul 11, 2014, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Thank Dog it's FRYday. A good friend of mine is a veteran. He had an infection in his mouth from his teeth going bad; two of his teeth were abscessing. In order to get his insurance to cover it veterans insurance, he has to contact them. He did so, they supposedly took down his information and said they would get back to him they never called him back. The infection became an emergency and the teeth had to come out. He had to pay 700.00 in cash to have 2 teeth removed. The veterans' insurance jackashes should have called him back. I think they should cover the bill. He's not the type person to go after people that wrong him. If that happened to me I might get drunk and be waiting by the insurance employees vehicles with a pair of pliers, I believe in a tooth for a tooth. It really angers me that even though this has been in the news for weeks it's still happening. Veterans are still being made to wait for approval of Emergency Medical Surgery and Services. My friend volunteered his service to the Marines during the Vietnam conflict. The War ended before he could see combat but he joined, he wasn't drafted and he is still a veteran. He was willing to fight for the freedom of this country. He didn't say, "Leave your information and I will get back to you." My friend is also disabled yet he accepts no benefits, he still continues to work supporting his family. It's a shame veterans are treated the way they are in America. He has a disability which is judged in a negative way, Essential Tremors. Even though he has had them most of his life he has held employment as a Truck Driver and Motorcycle mechanic. He held one job over 35 years.

I'd like to see him try and get into some type of Security Employment as a Security Guard, or possibly an armed position. I think he can still hit the same general area if he needed to fire a gun. (I might have to hide my wrist rocket from him for saying that.) He is doing some kind of online Security Guard training; nowadays you have to have a state of California guard card before you work as a guard. It used to be you could work while waiting for the card you just had to take a little test first and pass. As for the people involved with making Veterans wait for their healthcare they ought to be at the very least fired, this ain't right.
