State Agency Water Error

The Central Coast Water Agency was undercharged by the Department of Water Resources to the tune of $9.3 million, reports the Independent.

The Department of Resources allegedly forgot to factor in the cost of pay raises and new hires into the bills that the Central Coast Water Agency paid off. The $9.3 million is half payable by the end of this year, the rest by next July. The cost of this error resulted in $183 million statewide.
