What is going on at Goleta Beach? There are a lot of lifeguards around fire trucks. Did someone drown?

I heard about it from my co-worker but they didn't stick around. Something about a guy was pulled out of the water by a lifeguard and a few swimmers. I think? Didn't get the full story.

I saw this on Primetime's Facebook page:

"POSSIBLE DROWNING AT GOLETA BEACH - Lifeguards have a patient on shore. Santa Barbara Co. Fire enroute.... Hearing that the patient may have been intoxicated. He was breathing en route to Cottage Hospital. Thank you to the lifeguard on duty and two Good Samaritans."

Thanks JP!

I heard that he was in the slough, nasty water. Intoxicated or not, I would not go near that water.

Pedro Sanchez, owner of SB Krav Maga, assisted the lifeguard with the saving of this man's life. Hooray for local heros!
