water appears to be out on most of Fairview above Cathedral Oaks. Anybody know exactly where or what is going on?

I saw water coming up through the pavement on Fairview, just above Cathedral Oaks at about 9:15 this morning. Broken pipe under the roadway? It ran into a nearby storm drain. There was a white vehicle blocking the road just above where the water was coming up.

Drove past it about 45mins ago....looked like the pavement was sagging in one spot my guess was water main or sink hole....they were fixing it.

Rolling drought. Sort of like rolling black-outs. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

177p....it sure sounds like they are threatening us with something like that already. They are upset that within a month or so ago that have we have not already reduced water by 20%. We are all trying, but it takes time. What puzzles me is how did we get so dire so soon? Why wasn't this started a lot sooner? Who is in charge of such things? Perhaps we should have someone else in charge for awhile.

Welcome to the future. We can do a lot better conserving water and other energy related to it (electricity), but we would all need to sacrifice our lifestyles for our larger good.

Not currently very popular in the US. The notion of long-term solutions and communal thinking has long been condemned to stand in the corner. The motto here is everyone being a Marlboro man, and if thing's aren't like you want them to be, to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps and demand your individual right. The threat of "socialism" lurks everywhere, and must be destroyed.

Speaking of conservation, could we all just drive a little slower? 5 mph and you could save 5% of your gas. If we all saved 5% of our gas, I bet prices would drop.

It will be me that you will see in the slow lane around town.
