July 6, 2014 - Long Weekend Wind-Down

It's the last day of freedom for most of us with work starting up again on Monday. According to the edhat comment board and all the photos you've sent in, it seems to have been a pretty eventful weekend. The beaches were crowded, the BBQ pits were reserved, and parking spots were nowhere to be found. Thousands of people headed down to East Beach, West Beach, Stearn's Wharf, and Cabrillo Blvd to watch the magical lights in the sky. Unfortunately a rather dense fog bank rolled in to the dismay of many spectators, but that didn't stop the fireworks. Or maybe it did. The general consensus was that the showing this year was less than favorable with a few delays and low visibility. Ah well, nature can do that at times. At least we all have one more day to relax and take in the humidity. Enjoy it edhatters and send us photos to ed@edhat.com
