In less than 24 hours I came upon two dead seals less than a mile apart. Yesterday I reported one on Summerland Beach that was very badly mangled, today, on Miramar Beach was another, very dead seal. As you can tell, no large bite marks on the side that showed, although clearly something took a bite out of the fur...none of the spectators was willing to turn it over to see the other side.

Just got back from a walk on the beach and saw the very fresh and very mangled remains of a seal (blood was still flowing out). No head. Body was quite smelly too. Couldn't help but wonder if it was the handiwork of a local Great White.
