Isla Vista Mural Remembers Victims
updated: Jun 13, 2014, 5:33 PM

By the Dedicated Staff of edhat.com

A mural in Isla Vista was painted by students in the Urban Art workshop to remember the victims killed by David Attias in the 2001 tragedy on Sabado Tarde. The students had been working on the mural all quarter and their original plan was to have one sea turtle in the center mural. However, after the recent tragedy in Isla Vista, the students decided to paint six blue and gold fish to represent the students who lost their lives on May 23rd.

The mural stands at 6568 Sabado Tarde and contains a plaque dedicated to the 2001 victims.
