Rocking Chair Cover
updated: Jun 01, 2014, 1:47 PM

Had to put Grandpa's rocker on the porch. Anyone know where I can find a large cover for it?

Home Improvement Center has a lot of covers -- not sure if any are for rocking chairs, but they seemed to have a good selection.

Bob's Canvas Shop will make you one that will fit it perfectly and last years and years. Using the a plastic tarp will basically make the chair look like a giant, blue or brown garbage bag.

You could try a large barbecue cover... (when Grandpa's off his rocker).

I've used them when I need to cover something in a pinch. Find a place with a good return policy because it's hard to know if it fits until it's out of the package. And look for something with tie down points so it doesn't blow off.

Not fancy, but the 99-Cents stores sometimes carry those picnic-style tablecloths that have the fabric on one side and the vinyl on the other. I use one to cover my patio chaise lounge.

Home Improvement Center has a good line of covers. I ditto barbeque covers for larger objects. For the length, you may have to double cover with a tarp and chair cover to protect the wood.

the cover store on the internet I've been getting covers from them for many many years, good quality and prices. Sorry Ace, they got you beat even though shopping local is good. Many hardware stores have them but not the huge selection as the online store.
