updated: May 27, 2014, 7:45 PM

By the Dedicated Staff of edhat.com

Residents and community members gathered at UCSB's Harder Stadium on Tuesday to remember the victims of the tragic Isla Vista shooting that claimed six lives. It is estimated that over 20,000 people were in attendance to pay their respects.

On Monday, May 26th, UCSB Chancellor Henry Yang cancelled classes for the following day and declared Tuesday, May 27th a Day of Mourning and Reflection. The memorial was organized by students, staff, and faculty with additional plans for a wall at the Pardall Center.

Several speakers came to the podium including the UCSB Chancellor Henry Yang, UC President Janet Napolitano, UCSB's AS president Ali Guthy, and Richard Martinez who is the father of 20-year-old victim Christopher Michaels-Martinez. Richard Martinez was strongly featured in the media for his passionate comments on gun control, which he addressed during his speech. He also read two statements from other victims' families, Weihan "David" Wang and Cheng "James" Yuan Hong.

Martinez asked the community to write "Not One More" to politicians for stricter gun control. He lead the crowd in chants of "Not One More," which has now become a major trending topic on various social media sites along with #GauchoStrong and #IVstrong.

Below are social media posts with #NotOneMore, #GauchoStrong and #IVstrong:
