Rescue Dogs to be Euthanized
updated: May 18, 2014, 8:30 AM

By Elizabeth Mazzetti of Second Chance Cocker Rescue, Inc.

Santa Barbara County Animal Services has chosen the death sentence for Daisy and Duke, two 18-month old puppies in its repeated violation of the Hayden Act. DAWG is willing to rescue these puppies who have never bitten anyone and are wonderful family dogs. Duke and Daisy's crime is against cats. DAWG is willing to train and re-home these puppies. If Animal Services kills these two puppies they are guilty of violating state law, AGAIN. Do Santa Barbara County residents and the County Board of Supervisors condone the killing of adoptable dogs?
