Fire trucks, police car and ambulance at Presto Pasta on De La Vina... anyone know what's happening? Looked like windows were out??

A Honda Fit rammed through the window of a Presto Pasta restaurant on De La Vina Street in Santa Barbara Friday night. There were no injuries. (05/18/14)

A black car went into the front window... another case of gas-instead-of-brake. We arrived (going to another store in the plaza) when they were in the cleanup stages. No idea if there were injuries, but I hope everyone's ok and the damage is repaired quickly! The owner of Presto is a super nice guy. We'll be making a point to stop by and support him.

An elderly driver did the exact same thing at the Ralph's there a few months ago. Same guy?

703....also all the Radio Shack storefronts, Peet's Coffee...be vigilant when you are dining or coffee-ing in unprotected sidewalk seating....it really doesn't take much of a miscalculation to put a car in your lap....just sayin'

Why do some people make jokes out of this . It is not a big joke Someone could have been seriously hurt or even killed. It just so happens that my husband sat in that booth first and then moved to the larger one right next to it. Good thing he insisted that we stay in that booth as I wanted to move to the smaller one. No telling what would have happen to my little granddaughter or us if we had been sitting there. Sheets of glass fell straight down the front end of the car was on top of the seats and table the whole booth was pushed forward. glass exploded through out the
restaurant. We adults stayed calm but the two girls were shaking and crying. My little granddaughter said that she has learned a good lesson "No more sitting in front of windows that cars can drive in"

Al is a great guy and I hope this is just a small bump in the road for him. Glad no one was seriously hurt.

Buy a radio scanner then you can listen to all the calls and you will know what is going on.
