Historic Bank & Trust Coin

I wonder if any readers can help me with a little local history. I recently dug up a coin in our garden. It was issued by the County National Bank and Trust Company of Santa Barbara and states that the bearer will be credited with 50cents if the open an account in the value of $5 or more and leave it on deposit for 12 months.

There is no year on the coin and I have no idea whether it has any value other than simply being a cool piece of local history but I am keen to learn
