Smoking Ordinances Considered

The Goleta City Council is considering instituting smoking ordinances, reports The Independent. The retail ordinance would ensure stores would not be open with 1000 feet of schools or employ minors. A secondhand-smoke ordinance will ban smoking in public places and recreational areas. The council will be reviewing these later in the month.
