Scanner Reports 4-30-14
updated: Apr 30, 2014, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Once again it's Hump Day, Happy Hump Day! I hate when I'm broke all that food stuff comes in the mail, ya know the coupons? Little Cesars, McDonalds, Carls Jr. The grocery store coupons all I can do is look at the pictures. I got a little bit of food, BUT I WANT THAT FOOD! I WANT IT ALL RIGHT NOW! It's ok I can wait I think. May, that's when I get a year older. I don't like birthdays anymore they should go the other way ya know backwards. Anyway I got plans for my birthday as in "Pig the HELL OUT!" Gain 400 pounds on my birthday that's what I want. I'm fantasizing about the food and it's a month away. Little Cesar's Baby! The Count Down Begins.

A friend of mine I never met because were only friends on the internet lives in the area of San Roque she says there's been some break ins over there thieves breaking into people's homes when the home owners, or renters are in there sleeping. Those are the dangerous burglaries. What's going to happen if the victim wakes up is the thief going to attack and hurt the victim, or run away? Maybe the victim has a gun, many people do nowadays. My friend said that someone told her that every year when the Santa Barbara Fair and Expo comes to town this happens, as if it's normal. "Hey it happens every year that's the way it is." She says she thinks it started happening a little before the Fair and Expo. I'm wondering if any other Hoods are getting hit. You don't have to share exactly where you live just the area. Let the rest of us know, I hear this statement a lot: "That's just the way it is nowadays, it's that way everywhere." Are you ok with this statement? Are you ready to accept since things are a certain way that you have to accept it? I'm just curious, as always.

We get prowlers and vehicle burglaries around here not too sure someone wants to break in our homes. We're all nuts down here. The prowlers are mostly illegal campers and they don't seem to bother much unless they are in a group. I don't mind one camper if they are quiet or women who are just looking for a safe spot. One time we had a group of Guitar players that really could not play they were horrible! Before anyone says "Have some compassion." Please leave your address. Thank You. These guys were over the back fence on Cal Trans property but the property borders our place so we could still hear them. Then they used those 5 gallon white buckets for toilets and they don't flush there were several of them back there. I can't remember all the people that cleaned it up besides Cal Trans. But I know 2 SBPD officers were back there Bendy White was back there cleaning up our Neighborhood Mess and Sharon Byrne was back there. Anyway here were these people on a Saturday working cleaning up a dirty rat infested camp. Nice group of people, I was eating a bag of Cheetos and watching them. I haven't heard of a residential or commercial burglary down here for a few years. Someone broke into Texaco about 7 or 8 years ago when the previous owner had it he was drunk and passed out in the back room not 10 feet away with a shotgun. Someone broke the front door grabbed some cigarettes and a few beers and beat feet out of there good thing for them he did not come to. That's the last burglary I heard of down here, anyway I'm curious of what people think about that statement "That's just the way it is nowadays...It's like that everywhere." Share if you want.
