April 27, 2014 - March Edness Awards!

On Friday edhat and the Dedicated Staff hosted our annual March Edness Awards Ceremony at Santa Barbara Arts. There were delicious baked goods, tasty hot coffee, and edhat subscribers reminiscing about the difficulty of this year's contest. It couldn't have been that hard because our 1st place winner Penelope805 guessed them all correctly! Our 2nd place winner Rone was hot on her heels only missing a couple, while our 3rd place winner Holazola is no stranger to the game. For 5 straight years he has earned a spot in the top three and kicked himself over missing the Kellogg Square tree sign. It was a well played game this year and congratulations to the winners and all the players! Next year, we're determined to stump everyone so get ready for an even harder game!

Our Dog of the Week is Brisbane, a happy go lucky cattle pup. Our Cats of the Week are Pinot Noir and Muscat Blanc, two adopted kitties with a taste for fine wine. Our Non-Profit of the Week is The Fund for Santa Barbara who raises money to provide grants and technical assistance for local grassroots efforts. Chuck provides some insight on those fuzzy things in the sky, Rosie rocks out to electric artist Baths, and an edhat subscriber shares photos of a special trip to Cuba. Check out these stories and more, below.

DOG OF THE WEEK: Meet Brisbane, an Australian cattle dog/spaniel mix with a keen sense of adventure.
