IV Foot Patrol Sting Operation
updated: Apr 22, 2014, 7:30 AM

By Edhat Subscriber

I recently discovered that the Isla Vista Foot Patrol has been going undercover and performing a sting operation at house parties in IV. They allegedly show up at a party unannounced carrying empty beer containers then display badges and cite anyone who is drinking underage, among other offenses.

A reddit user recently posted photos of the incident taking place and The Daily Nexus did a great write up about it. I'm curious what edhat subscribers think of this sting operation. Is it violating any of the resident's rights? Do you think time should be focused on something other than [MIP's] Minors in Possession?

The Daily Nexus did a full article about it that was published on Monday. The general consensus is that students are very upset.
