Happy Hump Day Again! Middle of the Week for all you 9 to 5ers, Monday thru FRYdayers; I wonder if there is such a thing anymore? I'm sure I had such a job once or twice in my life long, long ago. I have had many jobs in my life as I never could seem to hold on to one for too long but loved to work. A friend of mine once told me that he saw a Jerry Springer show where the guest had over 400 jobs in his life. He told me I was the only one he knew had that number beat. I wish I coulda been the kind of person that stuck to one job, settled down got hitched, stayed hitched saved money, owned a decent vehicle and a home but I have never been able to do those sort of things. I don't know if I hit my head too many times, or it was the fever and coma or what? Just always had a hard time thinking, retaining knowledge, and sticking to anything. Now I can hardly move and it sucks. Not feeling sorry for myself just voicing my opinion on the matter.
Anyway hope that all your neighborHOODS are doing OK and there isn't a lot of trouble going on. Heard over the scanner last week someone got caught stealing packages off a porch on Ontare. I have been hearing a lot of Package and Mail stealing calls up in North County not so much here. I have been hearing a lot of illegal camper calls as always here but some of the campers are sleeping on people's patios in their yards a little closer to home. I used to sleep in my Sister's yard when she lived on DLV Many beers ago. Got me one of those dark green tarps from Supply Sargent and hid under it. Slept in her yard a long time. They had a huge back yard, never got bothered then one morning I passed out in the front yard drunk, some of her roommates were coming home, I heard a noise and sat up they must have thought I was a Zombie coming out of the ground cause they screamed and took off running. I got outta there before they figured out it was me. I had to find another place to sleep after that. Things were not too bad back then. Not like today. There weren't a lot of homeless people sleeping in Santa Barbara maybe a few hundred we were a lot better at hiding back then. The only time the police ever harassed us is one time a bunch of us were camping right next to the tracks and we were cooking of course someone forgot to put out the cooking fire. I woke up with a fireman spraying water on my feet my shoes were on fire, I didn't get burned though might have if it wasn't for the fire department. Now it seems like there's people sleeping all over the darn place. I don't mind it so much as long as they keep the area tidy, and don't raise too much HELL. Of course there are some HELL raisers out there seems like the population is growing lately it seems to me there's a lot more than 1,500 people camping in town. As it gets closer to the Summer I'm sure there will be many more travelers coming to Santa Barbara whether they arrive by Ship, Plane, Train, Bus, Personal vehicle or Footsie.
