By Roger the Scanner Guy
Monday-Monday. A day and a half after Deltopia. I went to bed sometime after KEYT took over they have TV Cameras and reporters up the Wazoo. If they went off the air before the police closed down IV, maybe that's a good thing it sounds like it turned ugly. Hopefully it's ruined now and there won't be a repeat of this crap next year. A party is a party and supposed to be fun not like this where residents are hiding in garages afraid they are going to be killed. Medics and Firemen being attacked while trying to rescue injured people. In the old days the National Guard would have responded and more than rubber bullets would have been fired. I saw a comment somewhere that the Troublemakers were a small percentage of the Party scene in IV HA! Well their families must have shown up to party too! I'm pretty sure there is not going to be these So-called parties allowed in IV Anymore.
I did not get much sleep Saturday into Sunday morning but I shut the scanner off around 12:30am I don't report 24/7, I'm not a robot wearing a suit. I get up in the Morning turn on the Scanner listen to it most of the day and shut it off when I go to Beddy Bye. I write down 20-40 calls a day and that's it there are more calls than that but most are drunk in public, or annoying people disturbing calls like gnats you just want to smash with your hand and watch them slowly drip down a wall. Listening to the Scanner Sunday morning sounds like residents in IV didn't sleep too well either. I went to a town party once that got outta hand when an idiot tossed a brick thru the back window of a vehicle it set off a riot and tear gas was shot off. Many of us had nothing to do with it we were just there to party and have a good time. All it takes is one IDIOT to ruin it for everyone. From the looks of the KEYT news report there were a few IDIOTS in IV and they went there for a fight and now some are crying because they got shot with rubber bullets. Too bad so sad they should have left the police stood down for a long time before they stopped what was left of the party there was plenty of time to leave.

Will that's all outta me for now I did not sleep at all Saturday into Sunday. My cat's got me trained to crash out around 9:30 or 10:00 if I don't do it he meows all friggen night. There I was listening to my trusty, rusty scanners reporting what I could till KEYT got on and basically took over. Watched them for a while. Pissed Old Pooh off he meowed all friggen night. I was seriously considering eating old Pooh with a couple eggs Sunday morning little booger. Anyway cops are on a possible suspect for that attempt sexual assault last week in the 700 Block of State Street. They are meeting down the street before they respond to the location hopefully it's him I'll let you know. As far as Deltopia, I hope everyone learns from their mistakes. I liked the comment someone stated that UCSB ought to pay for the whole thing. Anyway Have a Great Monday and Dog Willing we will see you on Wednesday. Later, Roger
