Speaking of Stories

On St. Patrick's Day we were lucky to win tickets on edhat for Speaking of Stories. Instead of drinking green beer, we spent the evening listening to wonderful theatrical readings at Center Stage Theater. We took some friends that were unfamiliar with this series and they will definitely buy tickets for future evenings of this fine entertainment. If you decide to go, plan to get there early as there was a full house and seats were filled early.

This collection of stories was called Audience Favorites. There were four stories read by excellent actors. The first three readings were humorous. Nick Wolf's British accent was perfect for the Three Fat Women of Antibes. Henry Brown told of The Nine Best Movies followed by Ed Romaine who read Dave Cooks the Turkey. All three stories were entertaining.

After the intermission John Luca read a very moving story that he wrote tilted The Impala. It's very serious theme was well received by the audience. At the conclusion complimentary cookies and milk were served on the upper patio of Paseo Neuvo.

Watch for future evenings of Speaking of Stories and enjoy this rare treat which is offered in our community.
