Scanner Reports 3-21-14
updated: Mar 21, 2014, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

It's FRYday. Boy did I get angry the other day at this guy; obviously an Aggressive Panhandler. I don't know if he came from the other side of town or what, haven't seen him around. He walks up alongside me and screams, "HEY BRO DO YOU HAVE A DOLLAR YOU COULD SPARE!?" I very clearly stated "No, I don't." He walks away I went into Crown liquor to buy a lotto ticket, came out and headed to the traffic light. S.O.B. Comes after me again and yells "I asked you DO YOU HAVE A DOLLAR TO SPARE!?" I yelled back "No I don't!" He gets mad and snaps at me "That's all you had to say." JERK! Of course it's all part of the intimidating con I'm sure in other parts of town others hear that many more times each day than I do, it just really got my goat. He wouldn't get a cent off me even if I had an extra buck! The Security guards working nearby at the Mall in the First Block of South Milpas deal with these guys constantly. I hear the calls over the scanner and see it in person when I go over there. I don't think I'd be able to stay calm like they do if I was a guard these days. It's so much different than when I was a guard. I dealt with these problems way less than they do. I never had a problem because many of the people back then did not get in your face and demand things. I'm glad the 600 Block of State Street is cleaned up I just hope other parts of town don't have to pay for it. Not so concerned down here that problem I had was an isolated incident it don't happen to me much.

Well I cleaned out all my recycling from under the bushes. A lot of it I placed near the recycle for Marborg to pick up and I'm very sore. I didn't get much for the rest either won't be saving it for myself much anymore maybe once in a while but never under the bushes again. Damn Barking Spiders! One of the worse things about getting bit is the muscle pain later on. That really sucks. I got some antibiotics on hand if I get bit again but I pray to the great Dog in the Heavens it don't happen. I was tempted though to say I was not feeling my sane self when the medics carted me off to Cottage that day, ‘cause let's face it Cottage Hospital serves good food. I still remember it from the last time I committed myself for a couple days I needed it then. Back then they sent a menu around and just about anything you circled got sent and it was DAMN GOOD! Not to mention the late night snacks then kept in a fridge for the Evening Scarf Fest. I got a couple girlfriends the last time I was there too. One was kind of a pyro; she lit my fire real good. If they picked me up today I might just have to say I'm 5150 as HELL! Sometimes it's good to be 5150. I'm whacked to a degree if I wasn't I wouldn't have anxiety and depression so I apologize to the Firemen and Medics for freaking out a little bit over the spider bites, that first bite so close to my heart put me on edge then when I hurt my neck I thought I got bit again I freaked out a little now I'm wondering if they still have chocolate pudding on the menu at Cottage.
