What is going on at Girsh Park today? There are hundreds of cars turning onto Storke and Hollister towards the park.

There was a shredding event sponsored by KEYT and Union Bank. It is a great way to get rid of documents with private information on it.

The traffic was terrible coming of the 101 and down Storke!

It was beyond crazy. We headed over (from 5 minutes away) at 4:55, and didn't make it to Home Depot for 30+ minutes. My brother, who got in line (from the other side) at 5:15, and waited in line for over 30 minutes, was turned away (before 6 PM) because they didn't have capacity to handle anyone else. (So, even though it was scheduled to be from 5-7, those who weren't already in line by 5:15, couldn't get in.) We decided we weren't willing to wait in line for an hour to shred our 4 cartons, esp. since we had a meeting to go to at 6.

This proves that our community really, really needs a local affordable, easily accessible shredding option. I think I'll propose it to the Marborgs, as they've been more innovative in resolving recycling issues than almost anyone else in town.

@BECKY That is crazy. Who knew there was such demand for this!
