Reader Reports Peeping Tom
updated: Mar 19, 2014, 9:48 AM

Last week, at around 11pm, I had a peeping tom in my window. I was laying in bed with the window open, and he leaned in to my window and eerily whispered "I see you" Since I was in bed, I wasn't expecting anyone, especially in our window, so I naturally screamed. I heard him run off. I called 911. The cops came and made a police report.

Tonight, I was sitting on my bed, and literally opened the blinds no more than 2 inches, (still fresh in mind about last week's incident) and no more than a minute later, I see a man staring straight at me. Naturally, I jumped and screamed louder than I've ever screamed. He either was startled at my scream, or whatever, but he bolted off. I live in the Oak Park Lane neighborhood, and am just making it known, that there is a creep out there lurking. He obviously was waiting for someone to open their blinds, or knows my routine...but has finally gotten caught.

Last week I only heard his voice. All I remember it was being creepy. Tonight, I saw him for a second. He seemed to be no more than 5'7"? Lean. Either bald, or buzzed cut head. He was wearing dark clothing. And ran off towards the Cottage Hospital parking lot. The cops came right away, and brought a detective. They said they found a canister, he might of dropped, right outside my bedroom window. They'll scan it for fingerprints.

Hopefully they get a lead on this man. Our neighbors told us about a similar incident about a year ago. So if it's the same man, he's been doing this habitually. And who knows for how long. Scary thought!

A reader reports a another case of a peeping tom in their backyard. (03/21/14)
