A strong surface high pressure system is forecast to build into the eastern Pacific today. This system is expected to bring gale force wind gusts between 35 and 40 knots today and early Tuesday morning over the outer waters from Point Piedras Blancas to San Clemente Island as well as the western portion of the east Santa Barbara Channel.
