Opera Santa Barbara Falstaff Review
updated: Mar 15, 2014, 11:45 AM

By Mary

My guest and I attended the Sunday matinee performance of Falstaff utilizing the tickets provided by edhat. The seats were fantastic. We were sitting almost center just 4 rows from the orchestra pit. The opera is not an entertainment I had given much thought to attending in my life; having last attend the opera almost 50 years ago as a high school student (Carmen).

My guest and I had a wonderful time! I highly recommend this particular opera to anyone with little or no experience with the opera. It was funny, easy to follow and the characters were all delightfully coy about relating directly to the audience. I'm no judge of opera talent, but it seemed to me that everyone on stage and in the orchestra gave a bravo performance.

Thank you, edhat, for a wonderful Sunday afternoon at the Opera.
