Goleta Declares Water Shortage
updated: Mar 13, 2014, 12:20 PM

By the Dedicated Staff

Many edhat commenters have been wondering when Goleta would hop on board the water shortage/drought train with a full declaration. Edhatters living in Goleta have expressed their concern with the Goleta Water District on many articles we have posted.

It appears that day has finally come. The Independent is reporting that the Goleta Water District officially declared a Stage I water shortage on Tuesday. They have been asking customers to cut water use by 20 percent. "Conservation is critical to our ability to meet customer demand during the current unprecedented drought conditions," said board president Bill Rosen.

What do edhat subscribers think of this recent announcement?
