Phone Call Issues

I've been experiencing issues with my Verizon Wireless phone since early this morning. I get a busy signal when I try to call anyone and I can't receive phone calls. Anyone else have this issue or know when this is going to be fixed?

- My smart phone can still access the internet, it is just affecting phone calls.

I couldn't leave a voicemail message for my hubby. It rang a few times, the VM wouldn't come on and then I got a disconnect signal. I ended up texting him to call me.

Mine too! I couldn't call out; it wasn't letting me answer or close out of app's it kept freezing up! Not really acceptable for all the $ we pay them...

Yes, 3 days ago. I went to the Verizon store and as a Page Plus subscriber I was instructed to pick up my voice mails by using pound 738 to pick up vms and then dial the last four digits of my cell number as the code. The instructions will likely be different for Verizon users ..
( page plus is less expensive - they use Verizon's old equipment) vms is obsolete for page plus clients. Apparently the system may, was, could have been hacked and the old press 1 to pick up vms is no longer good. This is all speculation. The gal helping me was harried. Good luck.

I lost access to the 3G/4G system. It turned out that some app or system update had turned off my "Data Enabled" setting in my "Mobile Network Settings" window. You might check that?

Until yesterday, I've never had a "call fail" on Verizon Wireless. Yesterday, I had 3. So I think, yes. Something funky is going on with their voice system. Good luck getting VZW to admit to $h!+

I had the exact same problem as 501064P: loss of access to the 3G/4G system, caused by some app or update turning off the "Data Enabled" setting. I spent half an hour on the phone with Verizon tech support sorting that one out.

While we were on the phone, they told me that there had been a voicemail problem in our area, too.

Otherwise, though, I had cell phone service everywhere from the Mesa to the Mission, with solid 3- and 4-bar signals.
