March 5, 2014 - Over Palm Springs

Climbing out of Palm Springs last month John Wiley was witness to a distant waterfall, a golf airport, and a glorious sunset. From this aerial you can tell that one of the many lush golf courses in the arid desert that is Palm Springs is right net to the airport.

March Edness starts with Day 3 and we've been noticing a theme with everyone's answer. It's gotta be specific. We know, some of you are going to be upset with us but rules are rules and the most specific answer has always set the bar. Yesterday's photo for instance, guessing "Big Yellow House Sign" is not specific enough since other subscribers submitted "Big Yellow House Sign on 108 Pierpont Ave in Summerland." When in doubt, be specific! Good luck edhatters.

In local news, a car caught on fire on Mesa Lane late Monday evening, John Palminteri reported Phillip Conway was arrested for allegedly stealing the Double Dolphin catamaran, and subscribers reported late night power outages in the Goleta area. Read these stories and more below.
