Law Enforcement Activity
updated: Mar 03, 2014, 8:22 AM

By Edhat Subscriber

Coming over The Pass towards SB around 7:30 pm Sunday night, a sheriff or CHP SUV came flying by me at about 70 (I was going 55, really) and the officer pulled onto West Camino Cielo. There appeared to be a bunch of law enforcement vehicles and a group of guys standing there. It didn't look like a crash scene and I didn't see any posts by Roger. Anyone have any info?

552P--I guess I'm supposed to chuckle but have no idea what you're talking about... And I live near West Camino Cielo.

Is that near the traffic accident Roger reported last night?

I was on Mountain Dr near Coyote Rd a little at 7:15pm and was lit up by two Sherrifs cars. They must have decided I wasn't what they were looking as they went dark and moved on.

I see them congregate there often. It might have to do with the southbound double lane ending just before WCC giving speeders the chance to do their thing.

OP here, when I was approaching Paradise rd. one LEO was hauling towards SYV with his spotlight shining into oncoming traffic and only the rear part of his MARS lights on. Same thing with the guy that passed me and turned onto West Camino. Coulda been the same guy but he woulda had to make a u-turn shortly after passing me the first time.

Someone probably got pulled over and the officer needed "back up", so half a dozen police officers show up to "help". I love how they tailgate drivers too. It's so ridiculous! I used to have lots of respect for LEO's, but it seems I lose a little more of that every year.

Nothing funnier than slamming on the breaks and watching a drivers face in your rearview mirror when they are riding your bumper. I used to do it in my Cadallic...
