February 28, 2014 - Out For Lunch

Wild animals and people alike rejoiced in the recent rain. John Palminteri reported that animals were welcoming fresh water and edhatters compared how much rain they got in their neighborhoods. A reader snapped this photo of a hummingbird enjoying lunch before the next storm hits. According to AccuWeather.com, another round of rain is headed our way before the end of the week!

In local news, UCSB Police have released sketches of two suspects believed to be involved in the sexual assault and beating of a female student, the victim in the fatal traffic accident on Hwy 154 Wednesday has been identified as Michael A. Okerblom, and American Airlines announced that effective April 1 it will no longer offer service to LA from the Santa Barbara Airport. Read these stories and more below.
