February 23, 2014 - Drying Bird Refuge

John Wiley noticed some lingering greens around town but this scene of the drying Bird Refuge made him wonder how long they will last. If it doesn't rain soon, there's bound to be fewer lush greens and the Bird Refuge might become a dry bowl. John Palminteri shared some useful information on how Santa Barbarans can purchase rain barrels to capture rain water and store the water for future use.

Our Cat of the Week is Nikita, a playful and cuddly rescue cat. Our Dog of the Week is Ricki James, a uniquely-colored boxer. Our Non-Profit of the Week is Safety Town Santa Barbara, a program that provides a quality, comprehensive, safety education to children.
