February 22, 2014 - Cicada Spotted

A subscriber found this little critter on her fence post Friday morning. Normally benign to humans, these insects make a piercingly loud clicking noise. With flowers blooming and cicadas in the air, it seems that spring has arrived early!

In local news, a teacher at Pioneer Valley High School was arrested on charges of having sexual relations with a 16-year-old girl, Roger reported a suspicious subject attempting to lure juveniles into his vehicle, and beginning May 14th plastic bags will be removed from large grocery stores.
