February 21, 2014 - Right in the Middle

CNN Money lists Santa Barbara as one of the best counties for the middle class in the U.S. Do you agree? Factors considered included low unemployment, good quality of life, and decent incomes. Santa Barbara County is stated to have a population of 426,874, a median household income of $60,003, and an unemployment rate of 6.2%. Santa Maria is attributed as the hub of our middle class county with thriving agriculture and manufacturing companies. The rest of the county is said to benefit from tech and tourism dollars.
