Summerland Water Pressure
updated: Feb 19, 2014, 9:09 AM

By Edhat Subscriber

Last night around 10pm water coming at 1 quarter water pressure and Cox internet down in Summerland. Weird that too unrelated utilities are acting up at the same time. Any connection?

Cox is taking over your water district and to maximize profits is sharply decreasing supply of both services. Lower supplies increases demand and higher demand increases prices. Econ 101.

Cox is flushing out the cable?

I imagine you get your water from Montecito. They were probably watering there football size fields of grass at 10pm. If you look on the Montecito water district site, your flow will be zero by July...

You may want to join summerland.nextdoor.com in order to discuss with those who live in the area. It's a great way for people in a particular area to communicate. I live in Summerland and have noticed low water pressure as well.

@071P-- why? That's what edhat is for.

073 - They are both wonderful ways to communicate! I was part of one of them in Goleta prior to moving to Summerland. We were able to let others know about issues going on within our little neighborhood; the type of things that would be too specific for EdHat. We even solved a few crimes! It's also a great way to let neighbors know about yard sales, etc. Those sorts of things would just take up space on EdHat. I am very grateful for EdHat. It was my source of information during the Gap Fire and evacuation. EdHat was up to date before any of the "authorized" media outlets. An absolutely essential resource!

073 - Fewer, if any, snarky comments on Nextdoor because it's not anonymous..

You have used up your water allotment for this month and your Cox internet service was running on hydroelectric power.

I think legitimate Trolls probably take offense that the internet has stolen their respected identity.

COX has found another way to "rip-off" consumers held prisoner by their improper franchise. If you want more water pressure you can rent several more devices from COX cable to boost the pressure (signal) and otherwise return things to what they should have been in the first place. This is called THE FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM, which in the case of the Santa Barbara area, is very enterprising for the COX monopoly but hardly "free" in any sense of the word!

I live in summerland, around 4 yesterday there was huge river of water flowing down valencia by the school. late last night crews were up at the top of valencia drilling and fixing what looked like a broken water pipe.
