The Caltrans Goleta Drainage Improvement Project to improve the capacity of two large culverts along Las
Vegas Creek and San Pedro Creek at U.S. Highway 101 near Fairview Avenue in Goleta began last week.
This project will prevent flooding north of Calle Real and U.S. Highway 101 and will include reconstructing
the U.S. Highway 101 southbound off-ramp at Fairview Avenue. It is expected to be completed in 2017.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
