Ed and the Dedicated Staff want to wish every edhatter a Happy Valentine's Day. Are you ready to dazzle your sweetheart? Or did the day sneak up on you again? Many people will likely find themselves in downtown Santa Barbara, at one of the many romantic restaurants, or at the movie theatre catching a cheesy romcom, or maybe picking up a last-minute bouquet and box of chocolates at See's Candies. However you spend your Valentine's, have a wonderful day with your loved ones and try not to overload on heart-shaped candies.

In local news, an SB man who punched an elderly man during an AA meeting will be sentenced to up to nine years in state prison, a Goleta man "catified" his home to accommodate his 18 feline companions, and edhatters weigh in on the city rules for having a "mother-in-law" unit.
