Scanner Reports 2-14-14

By Roger the Scanner Guy

FRYday, Valentine's Day and the Full Moon Surprise. Should be a good Holiday for Looneys. Everyone's normal here, at least when we're on medication. Will me and all of my personalities anyway. I haven't been into that Lovey Dovey stuff for a long time. I was the kinda guy that used to do something every day; buy flowers or a gift. After a while the women I was with expected it and one day I forgot. Some people are terminally single. I'm one of those, but I love my Cat. I'm an Old Cat Man. Happy Valentine's Day for you Looney Lovers. Watch out for that Full Moon. The other Day was listening to the Scanner heard this Be on the Lookout for 3 Subjects in a Black Chrysler Town and Country with Texas plates wanted for Fraud or Forgery possibly headed to Santa Barbara. Started to write it up to post and froze. Couldn't figure it out, felt fear. I searched my mind wondering if somehow I knew these people that were wanted. Nothing. Later on I remembered. Back in 1972 when I was a young'un, just before I got shipped off to Military School, I was still living at home; Mom was getting ready to go out on a date with one of her boyfiends. I went to the store to get some stuff back then you could still get away with buying cigarettes and sayin they were for your parents and they were .35 cents a pack. Got some sodas and candy bars too.

Was riding my bike home went past the house on the corner and there was a car totally out of place parked on the street on the corner. It was a 1968 Chevy Impala painted primer black with Texas plates. I did not know this car never saw it before in my whole life. I dropped my stuff off at home and went back looking at the car. I pulled out pen and paper and wrote the license plate number down then I took off on my bike riding around the block a couple times. The 2nd time I came around I saw two strangers coming out of a neighbor's home carrying appliances, I stopped to watch them. One guy looked like Dano "Book Em Dano" from Hawaii Five O, The other looked almost exactly like "Tiptoe thru the Tulips" Tiny Tim. It wasn't them. The Tiny Tim looking guy was carrying a T.V. he put it in the car then came after me with a knife. He got close enough to rip my windbreaker scared the HELL out of me bad guy chasing me with a big old knife. I went home and told my mom and she told me to stop imagining things. The next time I looked over at the neighbor's house the car was gone. They had a dog a little French Poodle I hadn't heard it yipping, it was always yipping. I started watching T.V. and forgot all about it. A babysitter showed up to watch my little Sister. My mom went out and I hit the Liquor closet on the way out the door. The good thing about coming from a home of alcoholics is that as long as you were not a total pig no one missed the booze. I filled a Mason jar with Smirnoff and split. I went out and hung out with the Bad Kids, my friends later on kinda buzzed I came home. I went into my room a few minutes later the babysitter came in and asked me what happened across the street at the neighbor's house? She said there's police all over the place. I got up and went out the front door. Sure enough Police all over the place I reached in my pocket and pulled the paper with the license plate number on it and went across the street. I walked up to the front of the house the door was open there on the floor with a knife thru him was the yipper blood all over. The yipper didn't deserve that. I started to cry, poor dog. A cop walked up and grabbed me dragging me away from the door "Get Lost Kid."

I went home the babysitter asked me what happened I told her, I told her everything. She went across the street and told the cops they came over and I gave them all the information. I was really angry at those scum bags for killing the yipper. The yipper always chased us on our bikes when we rode by but he didn't deserve that. The police put on a Be on the Lookout on their Motorola radios and the crooks were caught in Calumet City right over the state line. They were from Texas they drove across the country in that car they ripped off committing burglaries and robberies all the way. I never saw them again but I remember the yipper like it was yesterday, laying there blood all over. I hate Bassturds that hurt little animals and Black cars with Texas plates put a shiver up my spine. It ain't right to rip people off and hurt little dogs. I've seen some things in my life I wish I'd never seen, or experienced. I wrote up the information about the Town and Country with Texas Plates and put up a Code Red. I did it for the Yipper!

But if you're Clint Eastwood, You can Go and feel free to Make your Day and Mine.

Have a Great Weekend and Dog Willing We Will See You on Monday. Later, Roger
