An edhat subscriber recently sent us an article about a local
resident who custom built his Goleta home to accommodate cats.
Peter Cohen, owner of Trillium Enterprises in Santa Barbara, remodeled his home with catwalks, climbing
poles, tunnels, and ramps for his 18 indoor cats. Costing between $30,000 and $40,000 total for all of the
features to be fully integrated into the architecture. He also built a network of tunnels that connect rooms and the garage where their litter boxes are kept.
“I thought maybe the cats would just look at it, but they use it all,” Peter said. “It’s like a freeway sometimes with them all over the place.”
