Rent a stand up paddle at goleta beach and fish for perch from the paddle board from the outside of the surf. Would be fun with a small rod. Would be an adventure...

David Bacon is a well respected local charter captain. You can target White Seabass and halibut at this time. His base of operations is the Hook Line and Sinker tackle shop at the base of the 154 in SB.

Tight lines....

I suggest a short drive to Avila Beach. I've taken friends fishing out of there and we always get our limit and then some. Get there early, have breakfast with all the "Salty Dogs" in the cafe at the end of the pier and then have a great day on the water.
