It is going to be a bank. They used to open the ham store seasonally but alas no more. They are good hams.

Paul Brombal is moving in and plans on opening up in April.

Too bad gold and silver are starting to tank.

It's what was heard at Paul Brombal's place months ago; they're moving to a much better location at the former Honeybaked ham store. And will no doubt do well.

The definition of forever is two people and a ham.

According to Brombal's website they will complete the move this April.

042 - What do you mean gold & silver are starting to tank? Take a look at the prices over the past 12 months and you'll see the tank started agers ago.

Fact is, those both only do well in times of inflation & high interest rates neither of which will be showing its face in the next few months as the economy attempts a rebound.

I've heard that Brown's Pharmacy will be going in.

Gold and silver prices are tanking because the big banks & investment firms are dumping metals to depress the market. Wall streets' crazy rallies are due to the fed 'pumping' (expanding the money supply) to 'unlimited', their words not mine.

Those markets have no connection to the actual economy today.

It's all bread & circus to entertain the masses while they rob you of every last penny.

I hate to be the wet blanket but the parking at this new location is just as bad as it was at the old.

Who is Paul Brombal? From the comments, sounds like a jewelry store.

It's a jeweler who buys and sells gold/ silver. Etc

Paul also has money exchanges for travel abroad. Better than going to a bank. I hope he continues to offer this service in the new location.

167, I remember Brown's Pharmacy! Used to ride horses with Mr. Brown's daughter (1950s). Don't remember her 1st name, but do recall her horse had ears that turned backwards, pretty animal.

Paul has also been a valuable resource in appraising and buying coin collections, etc. in settling estates.

It's going to be a bank or a Starbucks. The only two things that can afford rent in Santa Barbara.

317 - there are quite a few businesses that can afford rent in Santa Barbara and they are not banks or Starbucks - the bitter twist is not always necessary.

Wow! Brown's Drug Store! Will they be having a soda fountain? Maybe Petersen's Drive -in can move back across the street!

I went to Brown's Pharmacy all the time 50 years ago when Johnny Moreno owned it (having bought it from Mr. Brown) and Jim Mills was the other pharmacist. Good times back then.

That would be great,345. I'm all for going back in time and Peterson's had the best hickory burgers.
