Two Arrested Following Vehicle Pursuit in Orcutt
updated: Jan 23, 2014, 3:59 PM

Source: SB Sheriff's Office

A wanted felon is in custody following a vehicle pursuit and crash in Orcutt early this morning, January 23. One of the passengers was apprehended and arrested as well, but the third occupant fled on foot.

At just after midnight, Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies spotted a vehicle speeding southbound in the area of Bradley Road and Clark Avenue and attempted to conduct a vehicle stop. The driver, 18 year old Catrina Gonzalez of Guadalupe, refused to pull over and a short pursuit ensued. During the pursuit, Gonzalez drove over the front lawn of a residence in the 1000 block of Donald Way and hit a parked vehicle in a driveway. She then kept on driving and drove onto the lawn of another house before going off a curb at El Portal Street. The car then stopped and the three occupants inside ran off.

Gonzalez was discovered hiding in the bushes across the street and arrested. One of the passengers, 20 year old Alexander Limon of Santa Maria, was found hiding in the backyard of a residence. The third occupant was seen fleeing the area but was not located.

Gonzalez had one felony and two misdemeanor outstanding warrants. She was arrested and booked on the warrants as well as charges of Driving under the Influence, Hit and Run, Evading, and Resisting an Officer. Limon was arrested for Prowling, Resisting an Officer, and Possession of Burglary Tools. They are both in custody at the Santa Barbara County Jail and are not eligible for bail.
