January 16, 2014 - Moon and Sun Cycle

As conditions permit, the sun's reflection can be seen in a Stearns Wharf circular window while the near full moon rises over it. The air was clear, tide was low, and Dan Seibert got out to capture this scene.

In local news, Roger reported a fire on Orchid Drive that briefly threatened houses, a UCSB Student was arrested for possession of child porn, and subscribers talked about locally made cheese. Read these stories and more below.
