Deer Graze In Lake Cachuma
updated: Jan 14, 2014, 8:14 PM

By John Palminteri

With water levels dropping drastically at Lake Cachuma, deer have begun showing up in areas that would normally be covered in water. Also, a bridge that many residents haven't seen in years from an old road near Highway 154 has appeared in the area that would normally take in the water flow from the now dry Santa Ynez River. Downstream, the Solvang City Council has declared Stage One drought restrictions. Residents and business owners have been asked to voluntarily cut back their water use 15 percent.
