January 11, 2014 - Monarch Watch

Aquaholic was inspired by the Monarchs at the Coronado Butterfly Preserve and shared a couple of images of the colorful winged insects. Noted for their yearly migration over long distances, Monarchs come to the Preserve typically from November to February and roost in eucalyptus groves along the coast.

In local news, H. Ty Warner is urging a federal judge to sentence him to probation for tax evasion, local German restaurant Brummis is going out of business, a subscriber witnessed something right in our community, sparking others to share stories of random acts of kindness.
